Sheriff Mike Lewis of Wicomico County, Maryland has vowed to protect the 2nd Amendment rights of his citizens even if it means an all out civil war.
In a video from News21, Lewis says, “As the sheriff of Wicomico County, I made a vow and a commitment. As long as I am sheriff of this county, I will not allow the federal government to come in here and strip my citizens of their right to bear arms.”
He then added, “I can tell you this. If they attempt to do that, it will be an all out civil war. No question about it.
But Lewis, like a vast majority of sheriffs around the country who believe that law-abiding citizens should be allowed to exercise their right to bear arms, also believes not everyone should have a gun or have access to one.
“We need to get the guns out of the hands of convicted felons. We need to get guns out of the hands of bad people. But we do not need to strip law-abiding citizens of their right to bear arms.
