On hisTalking Points Memo, Bill O'Reilly said that the conflict over ObamaCare was really a primal struggle between capitalism and socialism.
Playing a clip of Nancy Pelosi saying, "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it," he argued that what was really inside it was income redistribution.
"Obamacare is a pure income redistribution play," O'Reilly said. "Income redistribution is a hallmark of socialism and we in America are now moving in that direction."
The income redistribution programs of Obama and ObamaCare, O'Reilly suggested, would take money from those who work and give it to those who don't through "cradle to grave entitlements."
"Republicans have not been able to convince the majority of Americans that income redistribution is harmful," he said. "And the case is simple. Businesses contract so there are fewer jobs and the massive federal debt rises - diminishing the value of the dollar. That is what an entitlement culture and income redistribution bring."
O'Reilly said that enough voters want "free stuff" that pro-entitlement politicians think that they don't have anything to worry about.
"Obamacare is much more than providing medical access to the poor. It is about capitalism versus socialism," he concluded.
