Obama Homeland Chief: Confederate Monuments Threat to 'Homeland Security'

If that were the case, then why didn't he try to do something about them on his watch?

More idiocy from people we're very glad are no longer running the country...

According to former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, Confederate monuments are a threat to our "homeland security."

Really, Jeh? A threat to homeland security? Perhaps we should ask Obama's DHS head why he didn't tackle such a major security issue when he had the chance to, then.

"What alarms so many of us from a security perspective is that so many of the statues," Johnson told ABC News' Martha Raddetz on Sunday, "the confederate monuments, are now, modern-day, becoming symbols and rallying points for white nationalism and neo-Nazis."

Actually, they've become rallying points for radical leftists who are seeking to delegitimize American history.

"I salute those in cities and states who are taking down those monuments for reasons of public safety and security... That’s not a matter of political correctness. That’s a matter of public safety and homeland security."

No. Whitewashing our history only ensures that current and future generations are rendered ignorant, and thus more suspectible to repeating history's crimes.
