Well, some folks in Chris Christie's home state are not too happy, including the editorial writers at the Asbury Park Press. The paper called for Christie's resignation, citing several factors related to his personality, his governing style and most recently, his endorsement of Donald Trump.
What an embarrassment. What an utter disgrace.
We’re fed up with Gov. Chris Christie’s arrogance.
We’re fed up with his opportunism.
We’re fed up with his hypocrisy.
We’re fed up with his sarcasm.
We’re fed up with his long neglect of the state to pursue his own selfish agenda.
We’re disgusted with his endorsement of Donald Trump after he spent months on the campaign trail trashing him, calling him unqualified by temperament and experience to be president.
Christie was critical of Trump on the campaign trail, at least until he dropped out of the presidential race on February 10, the day after the New Hampshire primary. He endorsed Trump on February 26.
The editorial went on to criticize Christie on several other fronts, even accusing him of looking after his personal ambitions on the taxpayer's dime. It said if Christie will not resign then he must be recalled by voters.
