On The Today Show this morning, Gov. Nikki Haley dispelled any lingering doubt about whom she was referencing last night during her State of the Union response when she referred to the "angriest voices" in America. Donald Trump was "one of them," she told Matt Lauer.
LAUER: I just want to be clear here that when you were talking about those loudest voices those angriest voices, in that context you were referring to Donald Trump, correct?
HALEY: He was one of them, yes. He was one, there's other people in the media, there's people in my state. I think we're seeing it across the country, but yes, Mr. Trump has definitely contributed to what I think is just irresponsible talk.
Here is the excerpt from the response:
"During anxious times, it can be tempting to follow the siren call of the angriest voices. We must resist that temptation."
The Fox and Friends crew played the Haley segment for Trump and asked for his response to the Governor.
Trump said that Gov. Haley is not off to a strong start if she is hoping to be his VP pick. It does not sound like that's in her plans.
