In a now-deleted tweet from Tuesday afternoon, an MSNBC counterterrorism analyst expressed his desire to see ISIS bomb Trump Tower in Istanbul, according to Newsbusters. Yet another reason to shun MSNBC.
“This is my nominee for first ISIS suicide bombing of a Trump property,” Malcolm Nance tweeted in response to another one claiming that President Donald Trump congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s election victory because he owns the property in Turkey:
Newbusters notes that Nance is fond of linking ISIS to Trump. During the 2016 election, he called Trump the “ISIS candidate” and accused him of empowering the terrorist organization with his rhetoric.
Meanwhile, Nance attempts to whitewash Islamic terrorism of its religious motivation. In his commentary on the horrific truck attack in Nice, France, Nance suggested the driver might just be just mentally ill. He also tried to blame the gay nightclub massacre in Orlando, Florida on jihadist Omar Mateen’s personal “psycho-sexual problem” and declared that the San Bernardino terror attack "may, in fact, have been a hybrid act of terrorism/workplace violence.”
Nance has issued no apology or clarification about what Newsbusters calls his "shocking" anti-Trump tweet. And of course, no mainstream media outlet has taken him to task for it, certainly not his employer MSNBC.
