Michelle Obama Forgets to Mention Military Families, Her 'Peanut Crew' Husband Reminds

Too busy naming families from all kinds of backgrounds, etc.

During the White House Easter celebration known as the "Easter Egg Roll," Michelle Obama stepped up to the microphone to recall her big plans upon becoming First Lady and how she wanted to open up her new home to families from all backgrounds -- except military families, apparently, because she forgot to mention them.

Thankfully, her husband, who was standing in her shadow at the time, prompted her to add them to her exhaustive list. She showed her "appreciation" for this reminder by calling the president the "peanut crew." What followed was the typical, scripted "gushing" one could only imagine coming from a couple who aren't very good at hiding their contempt for the military.

Here is how it went down:

MICHELLE: When I first got here, one of the goals that we had was to open up the White House to as many people from as many backgrounds as possible. To open it up to our kids, to our musicians, to explore our culture, to expose families to healthy living…

OBAMA: [whispers] Military families.

MICHELLE: … and just to have a lot of fun. [Turns and looks at her husband.]

OBAMA: And our military families.

MICHELLE: And also to our military families. I've got the peanut crew back here reminding me of stuff. But we can't forget all of our military families, who we love, honor, and respect for their service and sacrifice.

Politico has the video of Obama reminding his wife of "stuff:"

This look will forever be burned into the corneas of the president and ours, too, because NOBODY embarrasses the First Lady like that:
