He predicted his win in 2016 and now he predicts another win in 2020. Michael Moore may hate President Trump, but he definitely understands a populist vibe when he sees one.
“I should say re-appointed, because we will have an even larger population that will vote against him in 2020,” Moore said in a recent interview with Fast Company. “But he will win those electoral states as it stands now.”
Moore's only plan to stop Trump is the unconstitutional popular vote, arguing that the National Popular Vote interstate compact that 10 state legislators have enacted will award all of their electoral votes to the presidential candidate who wins the popular vote in a particular state."
“That’ll be an easier way to get this done. People should not despair, thinking, well, the Republicans have all this power and all that,” Moore said of his ridiculous plan.
His recent big plan to oust Trump was suggesting a celebrity run in 2020. In a sit-down on the ABC jabber-fest The View earlier this month, Moore pushed Democrats to run a “beloved American” in the 2020 race, preferably a celebrity.
“The celebrities on our side, first of all, are smart,” Moore said. HA HA HA HA HA HA! Good one, Michael! Wait, you were serious?
“If we ran Al Franken, run Tom Hanks… Who wouldn’t vote for Tom Hanks for President of the United States? Come on. Oprah!”
Co-host Jedediah Bila noted rightly that Americans believe celebrities are out of touch with the needs of everyday Americans. Moore disagreed.
“Wrong,” he countered. “We’re on TV right now. Americans love celebrities.”
