Mayor De Blasio: NYC Will Fund Planned Parenthood If Trump Defunds It

"We will ensure women receive the healthcare they need."

Abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood has a friend in NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, who has vowed to fund the baby-butchering institution should President-elect Donald Trump ever get around to defunding it during his tenure.

Mayor de Blasio first made his vow keep the abortion giant well-fed in NYC on December 2 when he tweeted: "I want to be clear: if GOP threatens federal funding for Planned Parenthood of NYC, we will ensure women receive the healthcare they need."

The commie Mayor, who insulted his own police force to the point of them publicly turning their backs on him, later reiterated his promise during a December 5 press conference: "If there are threats to federal funding for Planned Parenthood in New York City, we will ensure women receive health care they need."

The mayor's press secretary Eric Phillips later expanded on just exactly how he would keep Planned Parenthood funded in NYC should it ever be stripped of federal funding.

"It depends on the nature of any cut," he told reporters. "What the mayor committed to is protecting the care Planned Parenthood provides. The threat is very real, but it's also theoretical, so it's impossible to forecast the nature of any required City involvement."

Back in September, President-elect Trump promised to strip Planned Parenthood of federal funding "so long as they continue to perform abortions."

"I am committed to defunding Planned Parenthood as long as they continue to perform abortions and reallocating their funding to community health centers that provide comprehensive health care for women," Trump said.

One irony of the Mayor's declaration is that it affirms the commonly-held notion that Planned Parenthood doesn't need federal funding, and would do just fine. The problem: corrupt Democrats like de Blasio will have to go on record saying they purposefully funded the slaughter of children instead of hiding behind federal funds. Twitter followers caught on to the irony as well.

"Good news! Abortion supporters don't need federal funding anymore," "So you're saying leave it to the states? DEAL!!!!!" were just two responses.

Abortions in NYC have been particularly prevalent in the black community, with more black babies being killed than allowed born, according to various stats.
