On Friday's Real Time on HBO, host Bill Maher laid out a New Rule -- since there was a mass gay wedding at the Grammys, conservatives should hold a mass shooting at the Country Music Awards.
Now that liberals have forwarded their agenda by inserting a mass gay wedding into the Grammys, conservatives must match them tit-for-tat by having a mass shooting at the Country Music Awards.
Maher is a "comedian," so it should be expected that he say outrageous things for laughs -- after all, it's what he became after his comedy career soured. But he certainly ignores the vast evidence that the most atrocious mass killings throughout history have been committed by leftists by singling out conservatives as the butt of his joke.
And where is the liberal outrage over such a statement? Where is Piers Morgan? Do they protect each other?
Caught in a moment of hypocrisy, Maher once told Michael Moore, "As long as we live in gun country, I ain't giving up my guns." Maher has two guns in his home to protect against home invasion. He obviously understands the various benefits of gun ownership. But there is little doubt that he would have no problem prying a gun from a conservatives cold, dead hands.
