On Saturday, Iran announced it would be sending its warships close to US maritime territory in the Atlantic Ocean. On Monday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani ripped America’s statements about the possibility of the use of force with regard to the Iranian nuclear program.

“Nearly after the recent events triggered by the US in Iraq, Afghanistan and the 33-day Israeli war against Lebanon in 2006, the US has been struck by a political heart attack in the region that means they are no longer able to have a desirable management power in the region,” he said.

Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami, according to semi-official Iranian news outlet Fars News, “warned that the slightest military move by the US will be reciprocated by Iran's harshest response, underlining that Iran's reaction would ‘recognize no boundary.’”
