A man broke into a Florida home and was met with not just one gun but a family of guns.
Mitchell Large entered the house a little before 7 am. and immediately was met with a warning shot from the owner of the house. Undeterred, the intruder made his way to the kitchen where he was met by a mother and son who were both carrying a gun. Opening fire, Large was killed.
“It appears at least two of the family members fired in defense of themselves and their property,” said Police Chief Gary Hester.
According to My Fox Orlando, Large was not armed but the family still had the right to fire their weapon.
It's not a very far reach to assume that if someone's forcing their way into your residence early in the morning, they're not there to wish you well. That's your castle that a reported intruder is coming into, so whether he was armed or not armed, when he failed to retreat, they certainly had a right -- if it turns out this way -- would have a right to defend themselves.
