Ed Schultz: Limbaugh, Hannity and Levin Would Be Gone If I Owned 600 Stations

Schutlz claims conservative talk exists because of the owners, not because of success.

During today's "Ask Ed Live" segment, a viewer sent in a question regarding conservative talk radio. Schultz took that as an opportunity to bash Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin - at one point claiming that the super success of the three hosts was not because of ratings or "entertainment" but the ideology of the radio company owners.

Referring to a Politico piece about the needed changes for liberal talk radio, and claiming only "right winged consultants" were quoted in the article, Schultz said,

I, of course, was not quoted, nor was I interviewed for it because I'm probably too successful for them.

Schultz is heard on SiriusXM and iHeart Radio. The three top right-wing hosts he mentioned have hundreds of terrestrial affiliates, apps and satellite radio.

He continued with a smirk,

...if I owned 600 radio stations, Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin they wouldn't be on any of em!

Schultz then made a sarcastic reference to what he thinks is a lack of "equality" on "right-wing radio." He must have forgotten that, in the past month, he has never had a conservative on his MSNBC The Ed Show program and gets to recite liberal talking points on radio and TV daily.
