Dramatic Footage: Woman Uses Gun to Defend Against Armed Home Invasion

Now, that's exercising your Second Amendment rights!

A woman in Georgia used a gun to defend herself against three armed robbers who burst through her front door at 4 a.m. looking for cash. The entire ordeal was caught on dramatic footage by a home surveillance system.

On September 16, three black men broke into a home in Gwinnett where the restaurant manager was staying with a friend. Multi-angled cameras show the criminals with firearms in their hands searching around the house which was packed with restaurant supplies. The noise woke the woman up. She emerged from a back bedroom, gun drawn and opened fire sending the men scurrying for the door. Two ran out the door in which they came, and the third crashed through the unopened sliding glass door at the back of the house. The woman dialed 911 and explained she was bleeding from the left side of her head. The call was added to the surveillance video. She sounded extremely calm for just having experienced such a harrowing ordeal.

It’s not clear the injuries, if any, were sustained by the robbers but one, Antonio Leeks, 28, died from a gunshot wound in the driveway. Police are hoping to identify the other men who got away. Luckily, their faces weren’t concealed by their hoodies and their faces are visible throughout the video.

Gwinnett County Police Department’s Cpl. Deon Washington said the woman acted appropriately, according to the Daily Mail, saying, “She exercised her right to defend her livelihood and property.”

All's well that ends well!
