Cruz Says Iran Will Follow N. Korea Lead

Blames Clinton

Ted Cruz is warning that North Korea's claim to have tested a hydrogen bomb is only a foreshadowing of what will happen if Hillary Clinton is elected president.

The Wall Street Journal reports that during a campaign stop in Iowa, Cruz linked Clinton and Iran's nuclear ambitions to what happened in North Korea:

“If Hillary Clinton is elected president what we saw last night is a crystal ball showing where Iran is headed,” Mr. Cruz said, referring to North Korea’s bomb test. “We will see in just a few years Iran testing nuclear weapons. But Iran may not test them underground like North Korea did, they may well test their nuclear weapons in the skies of Tel Aviv or New York or Los Angeles.”

Clinton was the Secretary of State in the Obama administration from 2008 until 2012 during which time she dealt with, or failed to deal with, the nuclear ambitions of both Iran and North Korea.
