CA Assemblyman's Scathing 'RSVP' Letter To CA Governor

"I am writing to decline your luncheon, and to express my deep disappointment that you would entertain the President of a nation that is holding an active-duty US Marine captive."

California Assemblyman Tim Donnelly was recently invited to a luncheon by Governor Jerry Brown (D) to honor Mexico’s President, Enrique Pena Nieto.

Politichicks posted Donnelly’s response, which was a scathing letter calling out Governor Brown for honoring the head of a country who is currently incarcerating active duty Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.

“I am writing to decline your luncheon, and to express my deep disappointment that you would entertain the President of a nation that is holding an active-duty US Marine captive,” Donnelly wrote.  “ How you could visit Mexico and not publicly demand the release of Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, is beyond me.  You had a great opportunity to demonstrate leadership by taking a stand for a California citizen that has put himself in harms way for our freedom.”

He then took a swing at Brown for the comfort level he has shown towards illegals but not his own countrymen.

“You care more about the comfort of those who have illegally entered our country than you do for your own countrymen. “

It is worth reading the entire “RSVP.”
