A college student who supported Bernie Sanders got so fed up with the pervasive political correctness on her college campus that she eventually morphed into a supporter of President Donald Trump. Fox News Insider reports:
Student Jessica Dobrinsky started out as a Bernie Sanders supporter but ended up wanting to “make America great again.”
“I didn’t know much about capitalism,” Dobrinsky said, who broke from the Sanders crowd last June. “For someone who didn’t know much about it, socialism sounded great. You want equality for everyone, but that wasn’t the way to do it.”
“Out of fear I didn’t even vote for Donald Trump,” Dobrinsky shared, saying she was afraid she would be called a racist and more.
The student said she is an avid feminist on Twitter, but ended up getting “a lot of hate” from Sanders supporters when she shared the Charlie Puth song “One Call Away.”
“Supposedly the lyric that was ‘I’ll be there to save the day’ was supporting the patriarchy,” Dobrinsky explained.
Good grief. So a college student can't even listen to a country music song without the feminist police showing up to shame her? The interview was a fascinating display of the "law of unintended consequences." Also, it's interesting that the student confessed that she was not altogether familiar with capitalism as she went into college. That, my friends, is the very definition of the American educational system's failure. The video, in a way, can be a bad news/good news type thing. The bad news is that American kids can live in this nation and yet never understand their nation. The good news is that the left can't help but overplay their hands.
