Planned Parenthood is throwing parties across the U.S. in celebration the upcoming 42nd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.
An Epicopal church in Wichita, Kansas will host "Chili For Choice" on January 22, 2015, while Orlando, Florida will rock out with "Rock n' Roe 2015" with local bands and speakers.
California, Montana, New York, Chicago, and Utah will all take part in these celebrations offering a variety of activities including food, wine, discussions, and a private screening of Hollywood's first ever abortion rom com, Obvious Child.
Even MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell will get in on the action as he was invited to host Planned Parenthood's Choice Affair gala that will feature a silent auction.
Planned Parenthood has "good" reason to "celebrate." According to their annual report for 2013-2014, Planned Parenthood performed 327,653 abortions at their facilities across America. This makes them responsible for about one-third of the 1 million plus abortions performed in the U.S. every year. All with the help of $528 million in federal tax monies.
Now isn't that worth celebrating?
